Sauna is Finnish culture of its most traditional kind. At Iloranta you can bathe both in a traditional wood-heated sauna and an old smoke sauna. The smoke sauna is the king of saunas - it is definitely worth experiencing! No smoke in the sauna at the time of bathing though! Taking a sauna is at its best when you can dive into the refreshing lake straight from the warm sauna. Camp schools, spring and autumn

True learning is based on personal experiences. Knowledge is important but even more important is to experience things and realize them through feelings. In our camp schools we want to offer authentic experiences from the countryside as well as participate in developing rustic environmental education. Nowadays many people living in cities and towns have no contact to the countryside and this is where camp schools in the country become more important than ever. Just feeding and cuddling farm animals or grabbing fish and crayfish in your hand are great experiences which are told over and over again at home.

Iloranta is a ”Learning in the countryside”-audited camp school destination from as early as 1980. Today Iloranta is managed by Samu Lescelius, a fourth-generation entrepreneur and a professional in physical education. He has worked in the field of physical training and wellbeing for 13 years both in hands-on and managerial duties. The former managers, Leena and Mikko Haavisto, are both teachers and give their support in running the business.
